I found a site where this guy guides you through what programs to exactly get(all are free, but one) and how to use them to build a DEM(digital elevation model) from the Photosynth point clouds. I haven't tried it yet, but it looks promising and I can't wait to try it out. If you want to try it out for yourself the URL is listed below, let me know if you have any luck.
